A nameless Slavic fort was discovered above the confluence of Křinice River and Brtnice Stream in 1994.

It dates from the end of the 8th to the 10th century, when the Přemysl Family ruled in Bohemia. On the oldest German maps this site is marked as Adler Horn, einst burg (or Eagle Horn). The fort was probably used to protect the borders and the Lustian trade route, similarly to other minor castles in this area of the Lusatian Mountains.
